WE’RE HERE TO HELP YOU

Create a Space for

Hope & Healing

With open minds, we work together to discover the best ways to remove obstacles to healing, alleviate suffering, and deepen our capacity to heal.

Our Story

Crockett Coxen Consultants was born out of a need to serve and support the Education Community, specifically Urban Educators. The Covid Pandemic created an opportunity to serve those that were in distress due to isolation and lack of support.

Emotional support and well-being became the driving force for CCC.

Providing instructional support through virtual observations offering suggestions and strategies to engage young people became one of the many services provided by Crockett Coxen Consultants.

In addition, we facilitated Healing Circles. These Circles offered a safe space and equal voice for students, staff, and parents alike. Listening to the thoughts, concerns, and worries via the “Circle Way”, served to provide well-needed support for all participants. Offering to facilitate / host Healing Circles for classes, staff, and grade level meetings became a norm during the virtual time.

Currently we provide support via Healing Circles, Mentor-ships, Observations and Training in Adverse Childhood Experiences a ACE Interface Curriculum.

Our Services

What are Healing Circles?

Healing Circles provide positive social support to anyone who asks for it. This takes place in small circles built on a framework that brings out the best in people. It encourages participants to treat one another with kindness and respect, hold one another’s stories in confidence, withhold judgment, and honor one another’s unique path to healing without advising, fixing, or rescuing.

Healing circles help us step out of ordinary time into a safe and accepting environment in which all can explore their healing. Whatever may be on the hearts of Circle Participants, they are invited to share. Circle participants work together to explore the best ways to remove obstacles to healing, alleviate suffering, and deepen their capacity to heal.

This product brings efficiency to a new level of simplicity. I have never found a When members of our organization’s leadership needed to have a very sensitive and frank discussion about equity, diversity, and inclusion we reached out to Ang as a Past President.

Not only did she immediately agree to facilitate this meeting, but she also conducted it as a healing circle. Ang created a safe space where everyone was able to share their voice and everyone felt heard and respected.

The healing circle fostered a sense of compassion and care as difficult stories were shared. This meeting was held virtually, which in itself can be challenging, but the healing circle led to a meaningful and productive discussion.

When our professional organization needed to take a close, hard look at some of our practices, we reached out to Ang Coxen to help us begin that journey.  After our introductions, but before any conversation,

Ang led us in a Healing Circle to mentally and physically prepare us for what was ahead.  Ang's manner was that of counselor and guide, making suggestions when necessary, but giving each participant the room for self-discovery.

The Healing Circle provided not just a safe space, but a brave space where discussions that required deep reflection and real work could happen.  It was an instrumental start to the healing that needs to continue in restructuring our organization.  I have an opportunity to attend another one of Ang's Healing Circles, and I am so looking forward to it.

Angela Coxen is an amazing healing circles host. Her presence lets people know from the beginning that they are in a safe circle where they will be heard, witnessed, acknowledged, and supported.

After a career understanding the impact of adverse childhood effects, she has the gift of being able to listen to the multiple layers of emotion that people express, allowing her to gently reframe questions to find better ways of coping and healing.

She has the confidence from her many years of mentoring and teaching to be able to adjust mid-course to the needs of the circle. She honors both youth and adults as they find their own healing paths and offers a multitude of ways for them to find social and emotional well-being. I highly recommend her.
